You can download the software below. Please report any bugs to our Issue Tracker on Bitbucket.

On the Mac you might get a warning that the software is not approved because it was downloaded from the internet. If you go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy, you can give permission to open it.

On newer versions of Windows, you might get a warning that Windows has blocked the installer from running. If this happens, click on 'More Info' in the warning message and allow the program to run. In case you get the following message under OSX (i.e. after an El Capitain upgrade): "xcrun: error: invalid active developer path". Please open Terminal and type:"xcode-select --install"

Mounting Procedure

The Synthblock just mounts like a USB flash drive. The quickest and safest way to mount it is:

  • Make sure the Synthblock is turned of
  • Plug it into the computer via USB
  • Turn it on
  • Unplug it
  • Plug it back in

Once it is successfully mounted, a new drive called "CRP DISBLD" will appear.

Community Firmware

There have been some improvements to the default firmware template that comes with the Patchblocks editor. In particular the handling of MIDI messages has been improved. You can download the latest version from github:
